Our flagship product

Fifefy is India's own social media app.

Posts, 24-hour stories, vertical short video and chat — made in India, hosted in India, free to join. Built around one idea: if praise is free, it stops meaning anything.

Why it’s different

Three things you won’t find on other apps.

Plenty of apps let you post. These are the reasons people stay.

Hi-Five

Praise that costs something.

Every account gets exactly five Hi-Fives a day, refilling at your own local midnight. You can give only one to any post, and it is permanent — there is no undo. Because the supply is fixed, a Five carries information a like never could: someone spent a fifth of their day's attention on you. Give one every day and you build a streak.

Local Pulse

Your city, not the whole internet.

Instead of a single global ranking, Local Pulse surfaces the most-Fived posts near you and what is trending in your city. Daily Pulse adds one question everyone answers on the same day — and you have to answer before you can see anyone else's reply, so the first response doesn't set the tone for the rest.

Fliks

Short video, without the second app.

Vertical short video built into the same feed. Tap any clip and it opens full-screen and keeps going, so you move between scrolling and watching without switching apps or maintaining a second account. Hi-Fives work on Fliks too.

And everything you’d expect.

Flash

24-hour stories with text, photo and video.

Chat

1:1 and group messages, with voice notes.

Polls

Ask a question and watch answers land live.

Photo tagging

Tag people in a photo — they approve first.

Explore

Search, local discovery and a full media grid.

Aura

A public score for contributing well. Never for sale.

How it compares

If you’re looking for an Indian alternative

Fifefy isn’t a clone with a flag on it. These are the design decisions we made differently from the global default.

Built in India, kept in India

Your data doesn’t leave the country.

Fifefy is built by CodeThread Solutions Pvt Ltd in Indore. Data is stored in India and handled under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act. You can request a portable copy of your data or delete your account from Settings in the app. Deletion deactivates the account straight away and then holds it for 30 days — log back in during that window and it’s cancelled; after it, your personal identifiers are permanently purged.

Fifefy FAQ

Questions about Fifefy

What is Fifefy in one sentence?

Fifefy is an Indian social media app for short posts, 24-hour stories, vertical short video and chat, built around Hi-Five — a reaction you only get five of each day — and a city-first Local Pulse feed.

Is Fifefy a good Indian alternative to Instagram?

If what you use Instagram for is photos, 24-hour stories and short video, Fifefy covers all three — Flash for stories and Fliks for vertical video — with your data stored in India. What is different is the reaction model: instead of unlimited free likes you get five Hi-Fives a day, so the praise that reaches you actually means something.

Is Fifefy an Indian alternative to X or Twitter?

Yes, for the short-post use case. Fifefy has posts, replies, reposts, quotes and polls, plus mentions and a full search and explore surface. The difference is discovery: Local Pulse ranks by city rather than putting every user into one global feed.

Is Fifefy really made in India?

Yes. Fifefy is designed, built and operated by CodeThread Solutions Pvt Ltd, an Indian company in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It is hosted in India and your data is stored in India under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

Does Fifefy have an Android app?

Fifefy runs in any browser on desktop and mobile, and an Android app is available. An iOS app is planned.

How does Fifefy make money if it is free?

It doesn't yet. Fifefy is free to join and use, and we are pre-revenue and entirely self-funded — no outside investment. That is a deliberate stage, not a gap: it means nobody outside the company is setting the product's direction while we get it right. When we do introduce revenue it will be stated plainly in the app, not arrive as a change nobody was told about.

You have five to give today.

Free, takes a minute, and always has been.
